The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) Atmospheric River Trajectories (PIKART) catalog records atmospheric rivers globally, from 1940 to 2023, at 0.5° spatial resolution and 6-hour temporal resolution.
PIKART's algorithm is coded in Python and Bash and compiled on Foote, the high-performance computer of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany.
