Abstract
This article is devoted to the first steps of nine mathematicians from five countries on their path to mathematics, chaos and discrete dynamical systems, some from early childhood. In these life stories, the names of outstanding mathematicians arise, crisscrossing the nine stories in unexpected ways. These mathematicians also interacted with each other, forming an intriguing social network worldwide, across all borders of nationality and languages.
